Polkdinney Park was opened on 29 March 1986 as a Jubilee 150 project. The names of pioneers in the Kyancutta district are carved on fence posts around the park.
Darke's Monument is a historical monument to the memory of explorer John Charles Darke, who was speared by natives whilst travelling through the Darke Peak area. The gravesite of John Charles Darke is located to the east at Darke's Peak, named in his honour.
